A vivid memory from my youth was a mere mention of a place I never actually saw. That place was known locally as The Fuchsia Pool. A place in County Mayo in the West of Ireland where my Mother swam as a child. That memory stirred such a vivid image in my mind that it has stayed with me all of my life. I've tried to produce a physical image of it here from my minds eye.

I hope to present an aural depiction of "The Fuchsia Pool" this year in the form of a CD. I was spurred on recently when performing for music legend and true gentleman Quincy Jones. He was insistent that I should record a CD. Who am I to deny him?

I have been recording music for over a decade now and thought that it was time to share some of it with you as myself! Most of these tracks were recorded with singer/ songwriter Ric Blair for his CD's. Five of the tracks were recorded live in concert during an evening called "Pat D'Arcy & Friends" in San Juan Capistrano, California on June 17, 2006 [The Cual Aodh/ Fraher's Jigs - The Rocky Road to Dublin/ The Dusty Miller Jigs - An Fáinne Ór - The Ace & Deuce of Pipering - An Leanbh Sídhe/ The Independent Hornpipe] I hope you enjoy the few tunes! ::: more»
